ILS Manager

This new position for an ILS Manager is with an industry leading technical consultancy delivering world class services in Support Engineering, Cyber Security & Information Assurance, Training & Leadership Development and Communications.

The role:
Managing the daily tasks of the Support Engineering team to deliver the ILS, Safety and Technical Publication artefacts in support of the programme schedule.
The ILS Manager reports to the Director of Operations, as the lead on the delivery of the ILS artefacts to the customer and for developing and maintaining an excellent working relationship with the ILS stakeholders.

The artefacts include, but are not limited to:

• Integrated Support Plan (ISP)
• Verification and Validation of Human Factors Checklist and Operability Report

• Software Support Plan

• Technical Manual / Handbook

• Obsolescence Report

• Legislation Compliance Evidence Report

• Safety Management Plan

• Installation Guidance Information

Experience:

• Proven background in ILS or IPS Technical Documentation.
• Experience in AR&M Analysis, Supportability Analysis, and Through Life Costing
• A technical qualification in an engineering discipline
• Experience working with Def Stan 00-600, DLF (JSP886), and ASD S series
• Working knowledge of design engineering methods and processes (systems engineering)
• An understanding of the application of management techniques, under high pressure situations, to develop the processes to increase productivity and improve customer satisfaction.
• Managing a dynamic team of ILS engineers, based in disparate locations, to successfully achieve the agreed schedule.
• The ILSM will also provide close liaison and, when required, direction to the supporting off-site ILS team.
• Current valid UK SC clearance.
