Brief
Industrial Engineer needed for a multi-disciplined manufacturer based in Workington who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Industrial Engineer that takes pride in their work and to provide technical information/documentation for computer numerical control machine tools, in order to achieve the most efficient manufacturing method using all available resources.

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Industrial Engineer will include:
- Interpret complicated mechanical engineering documentation and using a "value engineering" technique convert, compile and develop computer numerical control information using Vero VISI - CAM software, along with machine tool set-up sheets and tooling lists. This information is then directed to any of 19 varied machine tool centres enabling manufacture of components to customer specification.
- Develop and implement programming methods and instruct other personnel as to their use, in order to increase department efficiency.
- Control documentation within the department to ensure working practices conform to internationally accepted externally audited standards e.g. (BSEN ISO 9001).
- To liase and support craft machine tool operators, monitoring and improving the manufacturing method during and after normal working hours.
What experience you need to be the successful Industrial Engineer:
- Machining background with a knowledge of fitting
- HNC in mechanical engineering
- Manufacturing expertise in Machining (although a broad engineering background including fitting and/or welding and fabrication knowledge is also advantageous)
- Computer literate being proficient in the use of Microsoft computer packages
