Junior CAD Engineer
Barrow-In-Furness - minimum 3 days per week on site

What the role of the Junior CAD Engineer entails:
Some of the main duties of the Junior CAD Engineer will include:
- Supporting propulsor design, manufacture, installation and in service contracts across the submarine flotilla
- Designing propulsor submarine structures by calculation to ensure they meet the required load cases and safety factors
- Working with a range of manufacturing techniques, materials and technologies
- Supporting the analysis of submarine propulsor structures through Finite Element Analysis
- Working alongside other engineering disciplines to deliver integrated system solutions
- Gathering evidence to demonstrate compliance of these solutions with safety, function and performance requirements
- Authoring and reviewing design and analysis reports
- Responding to build issues through collaboration with Operations and Construction Engineering
- Presenting work to design review panels and key stakeholders
What experience you need to be the successful Junior CAD Engineer:
- Degree or equivalent experience in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline
- Ability to obtain UK SC Clearance
- CAD experience
- Mechanical engineering experience
- Previous experience of manufacture assembly and commissioning activities
- Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders
