Brief

Junior Product Owner needed for a multinational construction and utility organisation based in Leeds who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Junior Product Owner that takes pride in their work. The Junior Product Owner will have in-depth experience in both Business Analysis and Product Ownership.

The successful candidate would desirably come from a digital/tech background and have knowledge of cloud-based SaaS platform as well as an Agile background.

What the role entails:

Some of the main duties of the Junior Product Owner will include:

• Lead and/or coordinate the articulation of requirements to support the ongoing development and production of the products
• Create and maintain an effective analysis process, learning from central IT and the broader market to deliver a world class service to the business
• Support the evolution of the sales to delivery process
• Build sound business case proposals for new products and features
• Create and own project plans and manage those plans to successful conclusions
• Develop product descriptions, customer benefits, application notes, blogs and supporting all Marketing, Sales and Support activities as requested
• Awareness of all aspects of data lifecycle
• Possess a fundamental understanding of end-to-end customer experience, integration and dependencies
• Understand the core principles of Agile practices, Lean Startup, new technologies opportunities and other new evolving trends

What experience you need to be the successful Junior Product Owner:

• Excellent computer skills
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of seniority
• Good written ability to support content creation
• Relative understanding of the Energy market is desirable
• Proficient use of Microsoft office including Word, Visio, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to analyse data, supporting the broader teams in making informed decisions
• Experience in Lean/Six Sigma styles of process improvement is desirable
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges
• Passionate, personable and approachable character
• Previous product/project management experience
• Ability to work collaboratively in a large team
• Use of documentation, planning and presentation software tools
• Excellent facilitation and stakeholder management skills
