Brief
Junior Project Accountant needed to join an award-winning and multi-disciplinary design and engineering organization, who provide expert and sustainable services for local authority and private sector clients, to come on board and assist with the processing of financial / project accounting data and provision of accurate and timely financial information. You will be supporting the financial controller, project accounts and wider finance team.
It's desirable for the successful candidate to hold the relevant Accountancy Degree, or relevant qualification, and a minimum of two years of experience within finance.

What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Junior Project Accountant will include:
- Providing assistance with the processing of weekly timesheets, project set-up and scheduling.
- Ensure time is allocated to the correct project and move time where required.
- Ensure revenue is recognized correctly using the POC method.
- Attend monthly Project Finance Review (PFR's) meetings, maintain and distribute PFR notes/minutes and ensure all actions are followed up before month close.
- All aspects of Accounts Payable; process invoices, purchase orders etc.
- All aspects of Accounts Receivable; issue invoices, investigate unpaid invoices etc.
What experience you need to be the successful Junior Project Accountant:
- Ideally 2 to 4 years of experience in a similar position.
- Holds an accredited degree or qualification in accountancy.
- Familiar with accounting software.
- Strong user of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook as well as other spreadsheet applications.
- Thrives in a challenging and busy project orientated environment.
