Lead Delivery Engineer
London - Stratford

We are currently seeking a Lead Delivery Engineer to join our client on their site in Stratford.
This is a great opportunity to actively get involved with and take responsibility in leading the planning, construction and handover of works across the contract. The ideal candidate will have similar experience working as a senior member of the delivery team working across a variety of rail projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Analysis and Planning:
- Analyze designs and survey data.
- Prepare resource plans and schedules.
- Lead the assessment of resource requirements.
- Produce planning documentation.
- Create a programme of works for weekend core activities.
Site Operations:
- Undertake site visits as required.
- Carry out accurate site setting out.
- Control all on-site technical activities (Stressing, Tamping, etc.).
- Liaise with other critical site staff and operatives.
Program Development and Meetings:
- Lead programme development.
- Attend key possession planning meetings.
- Assist in detailed train matrix planning.
- Attend pre-closure meetings.
Risk Management and Documentation:
- Lead input into Work Package Plans.
- Lead input into risk assessments.
- Ensure end-to-end process deadlines are met.
- Create and maintain site records (e.g., post-possession paperwork).
Stakeholder Engagement and Training:
- Ensure delivery presence in key stakeholder meetings and resolve any issues.
- Engage with clients to find engineering solutions.
- Organize and deliver internal training.
- Develop the competence of delivery engineers.
Accreditation and Responsibilities:
- Work towards LU accreditation in the track discipline.
- Undertake lead delivery engineer duties on-site.
- Attend all training and briefings to ensure activities meet current regulations and guidance.
Technical Files and Processes:
- Creation of Tamper files (Geo & Offsets).
- Control all on-site technical activities (Stressing, Tamping, etc.).
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role within rail or civil engineering
- Civil engineering qualification
- Proficient in surveying techniques
- Demonstrable understanding of track design drawings
- Demonstrating understanding of Project Management Frameworks (PMF)
- Demonstrable understanding of track and drainage standards, processes and procedures
- LU Track Accustomed certification, LUCAS Card
- Proficient 2D and 3D laser controlled dozing
- TRV / ATMS trending and analysis
- Stressing levels 1&2
- Tamping
- Understanding of CDM and H&S legislation
- Working knowledge of LU planning systems
- Lifting appointed person certification
