I have an opportunity with a well regarded, top tier main contractor for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a new build project for a prestigious client on their site in the centre of Guildford. Alongside a competitive salary & supporting package, this is also an opportunity for the successful Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a contractor that has delivered some of the most iconic projects across the South East whilst also taking responsibility for your own project with a great client.

What will you be doing?
As the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you'll be providing commercial advice and technical guidance to a small team of Quantity Surveyors tasked with delivering the £40m programme on time and within budget. Working closely with the operational teams, external consultants and senior management, your inputs, advice and ideas will play a crucial role in ensuring the sound commercial delivery of the project over the next 24 months. You'll also be required to oversee procurement, sub contract management, CVR's and dispute management as well as providing contract advice (JCT).

As well as your commercial management duties, you'll also be tasked with helping other members of your team further their own careers providing support where required and passing on your advice and feedback.

What experience will you need?
Managing Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have at least 7 years of experience in the UK with a main contractor working on projects valued at more than £20m. You'll need good communications skills, be a team player and keen on helping less experienced team members progress their careers.
