Managing Quantity Surveyor

£70,000 to £74,000 + car & package
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor working on HS2 in the West Midlands. The Managing Quantity Surveyor will be joining a busy, professional site based team delivering large diameter piling, ground anchors, bulk earthworks, diaphragm walls, retaining walls, ground stabilisation and more.
The Managing Quantity Surveyor will be working closely with both Senior Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers, offering regular support and guidance to all members of the team. Some of your key duties will include:
- Undertake risk analysis across difference packages of work
- Review the progress of the project against the different programmes
- Prepare accordingly for any delay & disruption
- Provide accurate cost reports to the management team
- Work closely with the client, stakeholders and colleagues
- Act as a mentor to more junior members of the commercial team

Managing Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity must have experience working for a large main contractor on heavy civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
