A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Managing Quantity Surveyor to join a leading infrastructure contractor in London. The Managing Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in the development and growth of the team and taking responsibility for projects from procurement and tendering through to project delivery and commercial closure of the project. You'll have every opportunity to put your own mark on the project and in return, you can expect a structured career path with progression to Commercial Manager and beyond. You'll be working across a wide array of different projects with values of £10m to £30m for clients including National Grid, UK Power Networks and SSE.

Some of the Managing Quantity Surveyors duties will include:

• Manage all commercial aspects of the project and ensure there is regular communication with all stakeholders
• Drive the growth of the team by supporting others with the development of their own careers and the recruitment of new members to the team
• Implement a commercial strategy for your portfolio of projects
• Identify and manage all commercial risks and opportunities
• Develop and encourage a culture of contractual and commercial awareness of each project
• Ensure there is a margin improvement plan in place on each project
• Attend and host meetings with the project team, client and other stakeholders

The Managing Quantity Surveyor will be given an opportunity that includes a realistic path for career progression to Commercial Manager and beyond, exposure to interesting projects, the support of an experienced and approachable team and a generous salary & package that includes:

Managing Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to be able to demonstrate good NEC knowledge, strong cost reporting skills and all round sound commercial acumen. You'll also need to come from a main contracting background and have previously worked on infrastructure or civil engineering projects within the UK.
