⚙️ Key Responsibilities: Control, Oversight & Quality Assurance
Reporting to an Operations Lead, you will be the frontline leader ensuring maintenance tasks are executed to the highest standards, on time, and in strict compliance with regulations.
Team Leadership & Control: Provide direct leadership, planning, sequencing, and distribution of technical work for your team of aircraft technicians.
Supervisory Oversight: Exercise oversight and supervision of maintenance activities (assembly, disassembly, modification, repair, troubleshooting) on aircraft systems and structures.
Compliance & Certification: Ensure all associated aircraft paperwork is completed and certified by your team in accordance with company procedures and regulatory approvals (MRP Part 145).
Technical Interpretation: Capable of understanding and interpreting complex technical documents, drawings, and publications to guide your team effectively.
Risk Management: Proactively mitigate risks, exercise 'stop work' authority where necessary, and escalate emerging issues and shortfalls in a timely manner.
Mentoring: Provide advice, guidance, and mentoring to peers and technicians, including 100% oversight of work carried out by Apprentices/Trainees.
✅ The Leader We Are Looking For (Essential Criteria)
We are seeking proven aviation leaders with strong technical knowledge and a deep understanding of regulatory compliance.
Qualification: Recognised relevant trade apprenticeship or equivalent trade training.
Technical/Supervisory Experience: Proven technical knowledge in aircraft maintenance (mechanical systems, structures) and demonstrable experience in supervising, planning, and controlling technical work for a small team.
Regulatory Expertise: Strong working knowledge of MAA Regulatory Articles (RA), MAA Regulatory Publication (MRP) Part 145, and the application of Quality Assurance (QA) and Safety Management System (SMS) principles.
Authorisations: Must hold, or be capable of obtaining, company supervisory and independent inspection authorisations on the aircraft type being worked on.
Work Authorisation & Clearance: Must be a UK Resident with current legal authorisation to work immediately in the UK, and able to obtain and maintain a UK Security Check (SC) clearance.
