An exciting opportunity for an MEP Quantity Surveyor has arisen with a leading main contractor at their growing offices on the North Kent Coast. The MEP Quantity Surveyor will be given an opportunity to join one of the UK's fastest growing main contractors working with some major clients within the retail sector.

Based from offices in Kent, The MEP Quantity Surveyor will be working closely with a number of major accounts within the retail sector and overseeing the delivery of projects valued to £20m from start to finish. You'll play a key role in the successful commercial delivery of each project and in return, given the opportunity to quickly progress your career to Senior QS and then Commercial Manager. Some of your duties will include:

• Procurement of subcontractors
• Support the team through the tender process
• Subcontract management
• Agreement of final accounts
• Provide contract advice and guidance
• Cost reporting
• Provide assistance to the SQS with the development of junior surveyors

The successful MEP Quantity Surveyor will need to have experience in the commercial delivery of retail projects and willing to travel across the UK to meet with clients and monitor the progress of each project. Although you'll be based from their offices in Kent, you will be required to travel to locations across the UK with between 5 and 10 nights a month spent away from home. You'll need to have excellent communication skills, be commercially astute and have previous experience of working for a main contractor.

On offer is a competitive starting salary of up to £60,000 per annum plus car/travel allowance, living away allowances, 26 days annual leave, contributory pension, private healthcare and a discretionary bonus.
