Pioneering DNA R&D company in custom built laboratories is looking for a skilled, experienced and enthusastic Molecular and Cellular biologist to join the growing Gene Therapy Research team responsible for the delivery of new therapeutic applications for their novel platform. This is a great opportunity to work at the very forefront of DNA research in a dynamic biotech company.
The succesful candidate will possessthe experience and skills to significantly contribute to the design and implementation of various, molecular, cellular and viral biology workflows in the laboratory. Tasks include cloning optimisation, cell culture experiments, production of viral vectors, RT-qPCR and gene expression analysis. Other responsibilities include small scale manufacture when necessary to support ongoing gene therapy projects.
Essential Skills and Experience
PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology or Gene therapy OR a minimum fo four years laboratory experience in either an industrial or academic setting in a cell or biology related discipline,
Technical skills including Mammalian Cell Culture, Transfection, cell based assays, western blot, qRT-PCR, cloning, and mutagenesis.
Desireable Skills and Experience
ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Imaging
Experience in viral production and/or gene therapy
Good knowledge of good lab procedures or experience of lab management would be desirable too
