NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor needed for a leading organisation based in the Uxbridge area who are looking for an NICIEC Qualifying Supervisor to work out of their office facilities alongside a small team to ensure works are certified and signed off within client timelines.

Reporting into the Head of the Electrical department you will play a big part in ensuring the timely operation of a fast-paced environment on our street furniture installations. This is an office-based role with occasional site visit in the London area.

What the role entails:

As a NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

• Provide technically sound knowledge, support and guidance to colleagues & clients
• To provide advice, support and guidance relating to electrical installations during day-to-day activities.
• Liaising with the NICEIC to ensure we comply with all their respective rules for continued enrolment.
• To carry out duties as a NICEIC qualified supervisor, validate, compile and sign off NICEIC certification
• Manage the process of reviewing, evaluating, signing off and distributing all electrical certification & documentation that is produced by the operatives & managing the record keeping of these files accordingly.
• Attend sites to survey/monitor/evaluate works as appropriate to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations & legislation (IET Wiring regulations, H&S)
• Supervise and manage labour allocation and resources with regards productivity, first time fix and performance
• Working alongside colleagues in the departments where planned works are conducted and assist in managing the resources
• Undertaking a hands on approach where required to assist the field operatives labour requirements.
• Identify compliance issues that require follow-up or investigation to ensure the rectification of such issues is completed to a satisfactory standard in a timely manner.
• Liaise with work colleagues as necessary, both through formal and informal meetings
• Manage and deal with multi-tasking and heavy workloads, so prioritising is of importance

Experience/ Accreditations required for the NICEIC Qualifying Supervisor position

• Experience in an Electrical QS role
• Experience working with large numbers of certification sign offs
• Street works background or similar would be beneficial
• Ability to work to deadlines and be flexible
• Electrical Qualification C&G 236 Parts 1 and 2 or level 3
• 18th Edition / BS7671 C&G 2382
• C&G 2391 Test and Inspection or equivalent
• G39/1 Authorisation certificate to work in the vicinity of DNO equipment (Desirable)
• ECS Card / JIB Gold Card
