PHP Developer with Laravel - Amsterdam - Contract

Developer required to research, plan and execute the migration of a web application from the current framework to Laravel.

Your skills:

• At least 5 years of experience with PHP, HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery
• Proven experience with PHP framework Laravel
• Experience in design/architecture of complex web applications

Your role:

• Familiarise yourself with the existing application, codebase and framework
• Map and document the existing coding templates, libraries and functions
• Research and select the best technical solutions and products to be used for the migration
• Design and write coding templates in the new framework
• Ensure that old and new framework can co-exist
• Develop Proof-Of-Concept applications in the new framework

You will:

• Deliver the technical solution that will enable the migration to the new framework.
• Prepare templates and instructions on how to build new modules within the new framework.
• Execute the migration of at least one module of the application.
• participate in testing process through unit and functional testing.
• Perform development tool and environment design and configuration.
• Support bug fixes, change requests and functional enhancement on the code.
• Validates scope, plans and deliverables for assigned projects.
• Leads the design, development, implementation, and support of information technology solutions encompassing multiple specializations, platforms, and technologies.
• Responsible for overall technology direction for the assigned module/project. 8. Interacts with Design team and Test team for requirements and defects.
