A great opportunity has arisen for a Planning Engineer to join a leading specialist civil engineering contractor. Based in the East of Scotland they will be responsible for contract planning on their projects in the region covering Edinburgh, Lothians and Fife.
The Planning Engineer will join a major name in the UK construction industry who boast a very strong order book. They value planning within the business and long term sustainable career opportunities are on offer for hardworking and ambitious individuals.
The Planning Engineer will provide planning support to live projects in the region. The company is currently homeworking however when permitted the Planning Engineer will split their working week between homeworking, various sites and the regional office in Edinburgh.
They will they will be responsible for playing a key role in the successful delivery of a range of civil engineering and design & build schemes by overseeing the planning activities on the projects and ensuring the construction programmes are communicated to the site teams.
Candidate
- Minimum of 2 years planning experience.
- Preferably have site based experience as a Site Engineer or Site Manager prior to moving into planning.
- Must have a civil engineering background
- Have a good understanding of construction techniques and processes.
- Must be proficient in the use of Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject
- Working knowledge of different forms of contract - NEC, JCT
- Strong communication skills.
- Team player
On offer is a competitive basic salary of between £50-60,000 which is dependent upon experience plus an attractive benefits package that includes a £6,000 annual car allowance, pension, healthcare, life assurance, private medical, healthcare, 26 days holiday plus banks and other great benefits.
