Plant Operative needed for one of the nation's leading waste and resource management companies, based in the Coventry area. The Plant Operative will manage plant operations at the site in line with the requirements of a safe working environment and in a cost effective manner. You will follow the company's best practice with regards to its policies, procedures and in compliance with all statutory regulations and requirements.

Some of the main duties of the Plant Operative will include:

• To assist the Site Manager in controlling and co-ordinating the safe and efficient operation of the site in accordance with management instructions, health & safety and legislative requirements laid down in working plans, planning permissions, waste management licence etc, including as a minimum ensuring personal compliance with the above.
• To ensure that plant and equipment is maintained as specified and the appropriate records are completed.
• To assist customers wherever safe, practical and necessary.

What experience you need to be the successful Plant Operative:

• Mobile plant licences preferred
• Experience of the waste industry desirable
• Hard working with good communication skills
• Working on own initiative and as part of a team
