Principal Engineer

Principal Engineer needed for a Civil Engineering design consultancy based in London who are committed to promoting sustainability and minimising environmental impacts throughout their design work. The Principal Engineer will utilise their project experience and broad spectrum of skills to determine appropriate innovative solutions, along with extensive knowledge of highways engineering schemes to successfully support both local authorities and private sector clients.

The successful Principal Engineer will ideally have a relevant degree within civil engineering and additionally either be Chartered or working towards Chartership.

Some of the main duties of the Principal Engineer will include:

• Project/Programme management and development
• Working with both internal teams and clients to fulfil project requirements to high quality
• Assist in the bidding and securing of new works
• Be able to resource manage, stakeholder engage and working cross functionally with teams in the business when required.
• Provide support in the bidding and securing of new works
• Making sure quality control measures are in place and adhered to

What experience you need to be the successful Principal Engineer:

• NEC3 Project Management Accreditation or equivalent
• Background in the civil engineering industry
• Understanding of the following; DMRB, Conditions of Contract, MCHW, Health and Safety and Best Practice
• NEC3 Project Management Accreditation or equivalent
