Continuing with the successful growth of our clients Human Factors Integration business, we are looking to recruit a Principal Human Factors Consultant to further enhance the Human Factors capabilities and deliver to a fantastic client base.
Working in a variety of project teams, you will be operating at the Technical Lead level in the Human Factors discipline. You will be delivering Human Factors work programmes as part of multidisciplinary projects teams. There is also the opportunity to undertake research into a range of Human Factors related topics directly for our clients.
This position is ideally suited to somebody with a wide breadth of technical knowledge in Human Factors and experience in reviewing and verifying the work of their peers. The ability to provide technical leadership within projects to junior members of the team is highly desirable, if you enjoy sharing your knowledge this would be a great place for you.
The role requires a thorough understanding of the role of Human Factors Consultant within multi-disciplinary projects and the ability to plan and deliver Human Factors activities as part of a wider programme. Knowledge of a Systems Engineering approach is perfect.
A degree level education in a Human Factors related subject
Experience in a consultancy setting.
Understanding of risk assessment, safety assurance, safety case and safety management concepts.
Ability to develop Human Factors analyses to support those safety related activities.
Experience of conducting quantitative and qualitative human error assessments.
Ability to develop Human Factors strategies for delivering complex projects, from both a technical and commercial perspective.
Ability to manage projects from a technical and commercial perspective.
Ability to identify and support business development opportunities.
Be able to apply experience of forming and maintaining positive working relationships with customers.
Ability to provide technical leadership/mentoring within projects to junior members of the team.
Experience of implementing human factors strategies across a wide range of safety critical industries is desirable, these could be Defence, Nuclear, Aerospace, Oil and Gas, Life Sciences or Automotive.
