£70,000 - £90,000 + Benefits.
Location: Flexible / Hybrid (UK-based in Bristol, Plymouth, Liverpool, Manchester)

The Opportunity
We are looking for a Senior or Principal Consultant with a strong background in supporting high-hazard facilities who is ready to take on this role in a leadership position.
This is a unique opportunity to lead the high-hazard facility capability, managing current frameworks while developing new client relationships and service areas. You will work closely with senior leadership to align technical resources, support business growth, and provide line management for a skilled and growing team.
If you enjoy doing hands-on technical work and also working on strategic development, this role offers the perfect blend of technical depth, client engagement, and leadership responsibility.
About You
Experience & Qualifications:
- Proven experience working in UK high-hazard facilities, ideally within the defence sector.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and standards, including DSA03-OME (JSP 482), ER 2014, DSEAR, COSHH, and Def Stan 00-056.
- Proven experience performing detailed hazard and risk analyses (SWIFT, HAZOP, FMECA, FTA, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to manage and deliver multiple concurrent technical projects.
- Track record of successful bid preparation, business development, and maintaining enduring client relationships.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with excellent written and verbal communication.
Desirable skills / experience:
- Understanding of the UK high-hazard commercial environment.
- Experience managing framework agreements and leading technical teams.
- Degree-qualified in a relevant discipline.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent professional recognition.
