My client is an Oxford spin out which has secured international funding for its innovative and ambitious plans to develop genomic therapies to transform the lives of patients. The companies research is intended to counter a short term shortage in donor organs and an increase in demand for suitable candidate organs.
The opportunity enables the successful candidate to influence and shape the future of this developing company working with senior management within the company developing and intergrating analytical streamlining solutions, data workflows and knowledge bases. The successful candidate will lead challenging research projects from inception to conclusion and will be heavily involved in securing resources and investment for the projects as well as building and developing high performing teams tasked with meeting the companies goals and deadlines.
The successful candidate will ;-
Have in excess of five years scientific, hands on experience of leading R&D teams working with proteomics/metabolomics & NGS.
Have extensive experience of biomarker or target identification and validation and the subsequent creation, analysis and managemet of datasets
Have considerable experience of working with both internal and external stakeholders, research contacts and agencies. Experience of negotiating and securing funding from pharma/biotech venture capitalists is especially desireable.
