The Role:

So, what will you be doing as a Production Team Leader?

• Supervise daily production activities from material receipt to final assembly, testing, and delivery.
• Ensure all processes meet company procedures, quality, and safety standards.
• Actively support hands-on production tasks when needed, including:
• Building electro-mechanical assemblies to IPC-A-610 standards.
• Performing automated tests and product packaging.
• Recording non-conformances and reporting via the IFS ERP system.
• Monitor section performance against targets for output, quality, and cost.
• Lead and motivate a team of Production Operators - promoting teamwork, training, and development.
• Drive continuous improvement to reduce process time, eliminate waste, and enhance delivery performance.
• Conduct performance reviews, return-to-work interviews, and ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
• Manage shortages and material discrepancies through collaboration with Stores and Procurement.
• Run daily Tier 1 meetings and escalate issues to Tier 2 when necessary.
• Deputise for the Production Manager as required.

What are we looking for in our next Production Team Leader?

• Educated to A Level / BTEC or equivalent.
• Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong organisational and people management skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems (e.g., IFS).
• ESD, FOD, and IPC-A-610 awareness.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role.
• Familiarity with electro-mechanical assembly and test processes.
