Quality Inspector needed for a Precision Engineering Company based in Chelmsford who are looking to employ an experienced and well-rounded Production Engineer that takes pride in their work undertaking tasks.
Experience Desired
CMM experience, ability to read and understand technical drawings and dimensions, experience in measuring tools and gauges, experience with metals and in a machining environment would be a distinct advantage but not essential.

Some of the main duties of the Quality Inspector will include:
- Provide quality control support to the production team by troubleshooting using an array of in depth inspection techniques on a daily basis.
- You will support adherence to quality standards by approving materials, in-process production and finished parts.
- You will also complete non-conformance reporting (NCMR's) and report on weekly quality data and maintain it accurately.
- You will have the freedom to work centrally within a quality team to Initiate and action ideas for improvements to products, equipment, methods, systems and materials made or used by the department, thereby creating and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement.
What experience you need to be the Successful Quality Inspector:
- You will be passionate about quality and will have gained quality inspection experience within mechanical industries.
- You will have extensive experience with manual inspection and relevant tools (Digital Calipers, Micrometers etc) and experience programming CMM's (ideally PCDMIS).
- You are confident interpreting complex technical drawings (engineering).You have experience with NCMR's and knowledge of Visual Fair.
- You are comfortable demonstrating strong decision making and problem solving skills
