Safety & Quality Management Systems Specialist needed for an Aerospace organisation based in Bedfordshire. They're looking to employ an experienced Safety & Quality Management Systems Specialist who will be responsible to the Head of Operations for providing assurance that the company is meeting all of its customer, regulatory and business requirements by undertaking safety and quality management system audits. Issuing and facilitating non-conformance issues by supporting problem solving workshops and continuous improvement activities. Collating, analysing and distributing leading safety and quality metrics.
What the role entails:
Some of the main duties of the Safety & Quality Management Systems Specialist will include:
- Carry out internal safety and quality management audits, including process, compliance and product audits
- Carry out supplier audits
- Coordinate external regulatory, quality and customer audits
- Raising, monitoring and verifying non conformances
- Coordinate company approval applications and updates
- Facilitate problem solving and continuous improvement activities
- Provide safety and quality support to bid activities
- Conduct safety and quality investigations
- Collate, analyse, prepare and distribute leading safety and quality metrics
- Coordinate document control process
- Prepare and coordinate personal approvals
- Coordinating customer feedback surveys
What you need to be the successful Safety & Quality Management Systems Specialist:
In order to be the successful Safety & Quality Management Systems Specialist and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:
- Previous role in safety or quality management
- Experience in either aviation, automotive or manufacturing environment
- Continuous improvement activities
- Problem solving techniques
- Degree, HNC or equivalent in related subject
- Working knowledge in one of the following: EASA Part 21J, Part 21G. or EASA Part 145
- Working or theoretical knowledge of UK MAA MRP 145 and DAOS
- Working knowledge of problem solving and continuous improvement techniques
- IT systems including MS Office suite
