I have an exciting opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join an award winning, privately owned infrastructure contractor on a large civil engineering project in Bristol. The Quantity Surveyor will be joining a busy, professional team and supporting the Managing QS throughout the full life cycle of the £40m project. This is a great opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with civil engineering experience, living local to the South West to gain exposure to a major project for an industry leader.

This fantastic opportunity will give the Quantity Surveyor exposure to a major civil engineering project and the security of a business that continues to secure a number of other large projects across the South West. You'll be given the chance to start your APC, access to in-house and external training programmes, the support of an approachable senior management team and a competitive salary & package that includes:

• Starting salary of up to £60,000
• £6,000 car allowance

As the Quantity Surveyor, some of your main duties will include:

• Subcontract management
• Supporting the MQS
• Maximise the profitability of the contract
• Working closely with the client
• Assist with the development of junior surveyors on the project
• Cost reporting

The successful Quantity Surveyor will need to have:

• A degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Project Management
• 4+ years experience for a main contractor with civil engineering experience
• Sound understanding of the NEC contract
• Excellent communication skills
