£40,000 to £45,000 + car & package
An opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor has arisen with one of the UK's top civil engineering contractors on a long term framework covering the road network along the M4 corridor. Valued at £10m per year and covering both reactive repairs and major projects, the contract promises to provide the successful Quantity Surveyor exposure to interesting projects, an opportunity to put your own mark on the contract and assist with the development of junior surveyors.
As the Quantity Surveyor, you'll be carrying out pre & post contract duties on a variety of projects including highway maintenance, bridge maintenance, street lighting, improvement schemes, emergency response and surface salting. Some of your duties will include:
- Liaising with the project teams, picking up changes in work specifications
- Valuing the completed works across the business covering patching orders, street lighting, reactive repairs and more
- Collating information to hand to the MQS for the preparation of monthly CVRs
- Assisting with the development of junior surveyors
