An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quantity Surveyor to take responsibility for the Change Management on a large infrastructure project in the West Midlands. As a Quantity Surveyor specialising in change management, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial success of the project by effectively managing and controlling the change process. The role is integral to maintaining the project financial health and ensuring that all changes are accurately documented, assessed and implemented. The successful candidate will be working closely with project teams and stakeholders to facilitate an efficient change management process.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the change management process including the identification, assessment and valuation of changes to the project scope
- Work closely with the project teams to gather relevant data & information for the evaluation of change orders
- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for proposed changes & variations
- Negotiate and agree on change orders with clients and subcontractors
- Provide regular reports on the status of change management activities to the projects management team
- Collaborate with the commercial team to mitigate risks & maximize opportunities associated with change management
Requirements
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a relevant subject
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with a focus on change management within the infrastructure
- Strong understanding of the NEC suite of contracts
- Excellent negotiation & communication skills
