Portfolio Manager, London

£90,000 - £110,000 + Generous Comp Package

European focused property investor, owner operator are looking to attract to the business someone who will act as their Portfolio Manager based in Central London. They are keen to speak with those who have strong/high level financial modeling skills, the role will initially be to work alongside an external party in building a new model, and then after this duration (predicted to be a 6 month process) the role will then become much more geared around reporting and general portfolio management tasks as mentioned below.


Based at the company's head office in Central London, working within a team of highly motivated people and under the leadership of the Head of Asset Management for Europe and alongside the COO and finance team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring portfolio management & reporting is completed to the highest possible standard.

The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills to work across all business functions and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.

A wide range of analytical and reporting skills are required, with key responsibilities including but not limited to:

  • Business partnering with the local asset management teams in each country, internal finance teams and coordinating with external property managers, leasing agents and valuers.
  • Assisting the finance team with asset or portfolio level business plan forecasting, budgeting, analysis and reporting.
  • Maintenance of centralised records from data supplied by the external property managers and valuers, as well as the in-house asset management team.
  • Timely and accurate measurement of agreed performance outputs from across the business.
  • Value add analysis and reporting on commercial lease proposals.
  • Responsibility for the timely preparation of periodic reports and asset reviews for the management team, client funds and banks. Presenting to the senior management team.
  • Ensuring financial and property systems are up to date with a continuous view to process improvement.
  • Involvement and analysis of quarterly external fund valuations alongside support on ESG reporting and analysis.
  • Preparation of responses to requests for ad-hoc data, financial analysis, reporting and advice for external clients, as well as to support the wider business.

Required skills:

  • Professional qualifications with a relevant property or finance background
  • 5+ years relevant work experience in the property industry
  • Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen, coupled with the ability to think laterally to make and explain considered recommendations.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Highly computer literate, with excellent Microsoft Excel modelling skills, as well as high proficiency in PowerPoint and Word.
