Regional Environmental Manager

Regional Environmental Manager required for a business of which are investing heavily into Energy from Waste sites in the UK and a global leader in the sector. They are looking to employ a Regional Environmental Manager who will be responsible for environment permit and policy compliance and develop the Environmental Management Systems to accredited standards. The role will require a vast understanding of all legislation and regulation within the Waste to Energy sector. The Regional Environmental Manager must be a highly skilled communicator and influencer for all internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities follow:
- Ensuring compliance with BS 14181: 2014 Stationary Source Emissions, quality assurance of automated CEMS
- Form and collate all management reports submitting quarterly and annual emission reports, pollution inventory and waste returns
- POC for the environment agency building and forming relationships
- Ensuring all lines in the plant are compliant to relevant standards and guidelines
- Develop and maintain all site environment and energy management procedures
- Working with the Ops team ensuring the facility operates within the environmental permit conditions and legislation and guidelines are followed
- Work with the maintenance teams to ensure the CEMS equipment are appropriately maintained and serviced
- Manage environmental incident investigations
- Lead for the facilities environment performance improvement and sustainability processes
- Keep track and show involvement in latest government and national environmental information and campaigns
- Develop and deliver environmental training for permanent and contract staff
The correct individual will need 5 years + experience of environmental management in the energy from waste sector and preferably have a degree in a relevant environmental subject.
