Our client is currently expanding their research team and keen to recruit a Research Analyst who will conduct market analysis from within the institutional environment.
The role would suit a Research Analyst (not to be confused with an investment analyst) who has some level of exposure / knowledge from the pensions, insurance, asset management sectors and has a degree of understanding of the financial services sector (bonds, mutual funds, securities etc.)
The firm have had a successful track record both in the UK and overseas for many years, partnering and advising numerous global clients within the financial services sector.
Areas of focus will include researching opportunities and challenges facing institutional investors.
The role would suit someone who is analytical and quantitatively-oriented, exhibits strong written and verbal communication skills, works autonomously, is adaptable and comfortable multi-tasking, and seeks to build deep industry expertise.
You will be expected to generate quantitative analytics and manage projects for research.
Candidate Profile:
- Circa 1 - 3 years' experience in financial services within research / an analytical role
- Financial analysis and modeling skills
- General understanding of basic investing concepts and understanding of financial instruments
- Proficient in Excel (e.g. pivot tables and V-Lookups, etc.)
- Educated to degree level within a relevant field
