Senior Commercial Manager - Infrastructure/Rail
Hertfordshire (with travel)
£100,000 - £120,000 + package
We are currently seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to join our client on their projects covering across London, up to the Midlands and across to the Southwest.
As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for leading the commercial team in maximising the commercial performance, through the implementation of the commercial strategy and targets. Collaborating closely with the Rail Division's Directors, the chosen candidate will take responsibility for advancing and optimising the pre-contract operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the Commercial Managers on a variety of projects to establish a cohesive team that efficiently delivers the project.
- Maintain control over expenses and effectively manage budgets.
- Guarantee compliance with all applicable Regulations and Company Policies & Processes
- Provide management and support for commercial and supplier contracting aspects of projects throughout the business stream.
- Evaluate and report on commercial performance of the project, escalating issues as needed.
- Comprehend customer requirements and ensure the Project is managed to meet those needs while staying true to the Customer Focus Strategy
- Efficiently manage change and identify opportunities for business improvement.
- Develop and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Conducting negotiations for pre-bid agreements.
- Ensure Monthly Commercial Reports are prepared accurately and submitted promptly.
Requirements:
- Experience in a similar role as Senior Commercial Manager or Commercial Manager
- Strong Knowledge of NEC suite of contracts
- Notable experience working on projects within Rail, Infrastructure and/or Heavy Civils
- You will need to have a degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience.
- Ideally membership of a relevant professional body with chartered status and/or educated to degree level.
- Ability to drive and influence people within the team.
