Location: Birmingham (Hybrid - 3 days office / 2 days remote)
Salary: up to circa £75,000 + package
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Cost Manager to join a forward-thinking consultancy who are delivering some of the UK's most complex and high profile projects.
The Senior Cost Manager will become a key player within an established, collaborative commercial team, currently engaged in the delivery of a major, multi-faceted project. You'll lead on cost management activities from inception to completion, working closely with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure financial objectives are achieved while maintaining the highest professional standards.
This is a hybrid role - offering the flexibility of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage cost planning, forecasting, and reporting for complex, high-value projects
- Deliver accurate, timely commercial advice to clients and project teams
- Prepare and review cost estimates, tender documentation, and contract management duties
- Provide risk management advice and value engineering input
- Mentor and support junior team members, contributing to their development
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, representing the consultancy with professionalism and integrity
About You:
- Proven experience as a Senior Cost Manager / Senior Quantity Surveyor within a consultancy or client-side environment
- Strong background delivering large, complex projects (infrastructure, commercial, healthcare, or public sector desirable)
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and client-facing skills
- Proactive, adaptable, and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
