Some of the main duties of the Senior Development Scientist with Infrared Portable Spectroscopy experience experience will include:
- Provide physics knowledge and practical optical skills to support the current and future Visible-Near Infrared Portable Spectroscopy instrument line
- Leading the development of products as part of multi-disciplinary project teams including Industrial Engineering, Production, Purchasing, Service, Manufacturing Engineering to Operations Teams across into Integration Manufacturing
- To design efficient experiments to answer customer and development problems and be able to process and distribute the findings to a broad audience
In order to be the successful Senior Development Scientist with Infrared Portable Spectroscopy experience and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:
- Graduate Physicist, Optical, Mechanical, Chemist, Chemical Engineer, Mathematician or equivalent
- Experienced in handling/setting up optical systems, with relation to spectroscopy and grating technologies
- Leadership experience managing teams/mentoring junior Development Scientists
- Ability to provide creative and innovative ideas on how to further Portable Spectroscopy instrumentation
- Provides both practical and technical information to support the Portable Spectroscopy production team
- Experienced working across multiple-discipline teams
Nice To haves
- Knowledgeable of Lean Design or Six Sigma tools
- Experience in MATLAB/Python programming languages
