Job Title: Senior Engineer - Product Development

An experienced Product Development Engineer is required to play a key role in providing technical management at all stages of the project lifecycle from bid phase through to project delivery. You will be required to use your experience and expert judgement to tailor the project lifecycle, work packages during the design and development of a product in enabling a coherent programme plan to be developed.
The Role:
So, what will you be doing as a Product Development Engineer?
- You will be responsible for:
- Product verification - to ensure that the requirements of the Project and the Customer are met and that this can be/has been demonstrated
- Product control - to ensure that appropriate equipment, processes and documentation exist for correct manufacturing and verification of the Product and under configuration control
- Technical support - to the Project Manager, the Project Team members and the Customer
What are we looking for in our next Product Development Engineer?
- Degree level educated in Engineering or Physics discipline
- Have a good technical background in sensor science and instrumentation,
- Have experience in the development and delivery of sensor products or instrumentation
- Have good Leadership and communication skills
- Have experience of relevant manufacturing techniques, qualification, verification and test
- Knowledge of test system development and analysis techniques
- Project Risk management and problem solving
- Experience in the disciplines embracing Research, design, systems, implementation, delivery and Customer Services
