An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join the busy civil engineering division of a leading name in UK main contracting. The Senior Planning Engineer will be a key player within an established and experienced team and will be the go too person for anything planning related across the regional business.
The Senior Planning Engineer will play a key role in the delivery of a major initiative to upgrade the roads network. Working closely with the senior management team they will lead the planning function on major roads & highways construction projects based across the region and responsible for ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.

Duties
- Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to define project objectives and scope.
- Develop comprehensive project plans and schedules using Primavera P6, aligning with the framework's overarching goals.
- Monitor project progress, track performance against milestones, and proactively identify potential bottlenecks.
- Regularly communicate project updates and key findings to stakeholders
Candidate
- Proficient in the use of Primavera P6 planning software
- A good understanding of construction processes and techniques
- Strong site based experience preferably gained within a main contracting environment
- Excellent communication skills
- NEC contract knowledge would be a distinct advantage.
