Title: Senior Planning Engineer
Location: Warrington
Salary: £70-80,000 + car allowance + package
An excellent opportunity has arisen for Senior Planning Engineer with a background in the UK building industry to join a fast growing, successful construction company who are renowned for delivering high quality projects across the North West.
The Senior Planning Engineer will play a key role in the successful planning and execution of their projects, an exciting portfolio of schemes in the region valued circa £25-250m. They will work closely with project managers, site teams, and clients to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and manage project schedules using industry-standard software (Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, etc.).
- Coordinate with project teams to integrate design, procurement, and construction schedules.
- Ensure accurate reporting of project progress, delays, risks, and opportunities.
- Monitor and control project timelines, identifying potential bottlenecks and proposing solutions.
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates and ensuring all planning aspects meet client expectations.
- Analyze project performance data and prepare detailed reports.
- Work with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to align project milestones.
- Support tender processes by preparing construction programmes and schedules.
Candidate
- Proven experience as a Planning Engineer within the UK construction industry
- Proficiency in Asta Powerproject
- Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Highly organized with a sharp attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changes in project scope or timeline.
- Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
