A top opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join a leading name in the UK construction industry who are specialists in the delivery of infrastructure projects. The Senior Planning Engineer will join their regional team in London who have secured an enormous amount of work over the next 5 years.
The Senior Planning Engineer will be involved on a major multi-billion pound framework with a key client of theirs. They will be responsible for planning projects at throughout their full life cycle from tender stage through to completion. The projects are typically valued between £10-60m and include cabling, the construction and refurbishment of electricity substations and switch houses.
The Senior Planning Engineer will split their working week between the office (when permitted), home working and various live projects in London. They will be responsible for all planning activities on their portfolio of projects that includes progress reporting, entitlement programmes and narratives, recovery plans, dashboard reports using Primavera P6 planning software.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following skills and experience to be considered.
- Minimum of 5 years planning experience which has been gained within a main contracting environment.
- Advanced user of Primavera P6 planning software
- Strong engineering background Civils, Mechanical or Electrical
- Tender and Contract planning experience
- Good working knowledge of NEC contract is essential
- Possess excellent communication skills
- Team player
