Title: Senior Planning Engineer
Location: Suffolk
Salary: £90-110,000 + car allowance + package
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Planning Engineer to join a leading main contractor who have recently been awarded a new exciting construction project based in Suffolk valued circa £300m.
The Senior Planning Engineer will join a highly regarded construction business who are renowned for delivering high profile, complex construction projects across the UK. The Senior Planning Engineer will be site based and responsible for overseeing the construction programme, working closely with the Project Director and ensuring the programme is communicated effectively to the site team.
With a £300m valuation, the project promises to be challenging, rewarding, and a career-defining opportunity for the right candidate. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate strong site based experience gained within a UK main contracting environment, strong understanding of construction processes and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules in collaboration with project managers and stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions to keep the project on track.
- Conduct regular project status reviews, ensuring alignment with project goals and objectives.
- Provide expert advice on planning and scheduling to the project team, clients, and subcontractors.
- Utilize industry-leading planning tools and software to optimize project performance.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key project metrics and forecasts.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Planning Engineer in the construction industry, ideally with a main contractor.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex project challenges.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Hold a construction related qualification - Degree / HND / HNC
