Senior Quantity Surveyor
£50,000 to £65,000 + car & package

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering a large utilities framework with projects between Wiltshire and Berkshire. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be joining a busy and growing team, working closely with the Managing Surveyor and Commercial Manager on a variety of projects with contract values ranging from £5m to £10m.

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, some of your key duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Undertaking the day to day commercial administration of projects from start to finish
  • Working closely with the Project Management Teams
  • Preparing all cost and value reports
  • Preparing commercial performance reports for your portfolio of projects
  • Managing the procurement of all labour, plant, materials and subcontract orders
  • Subcontract management
  • Working closely with the client

The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will be offered a structured career path that includes clear, set goals to become a Managing Surveyor. Senior Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have previous experience working within the utilities sector (either water, gas or power) and be familiar with either the IChemE or NEC suite of contracts. You'll need to be commercially astute, self motivated and driven and confident when working in teams of varying abilities. You'll also need to be willing to commute along the M4 Corridor between sites and offices as required.
