A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading service provider in the water and wastewater infrastructure sectors in the UK at their offices in Reading.
This is a great opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor or a Quantity Surveyor to progress their career within a well-established organisation.

Duties
- Responsible for administering the NEC form of contracts, raising early warning notices to the client and subcontractors. You will have a keen eye for detail identifying, notifying and pricing of compensation events.
- You will be required to produce or support the production of CVRs and P&L reports.
- You will also manage subcontractors from tender enquiries to final accounts, review subcontract quotations and be involved in placing subcontract orders.
- Responsible for assessing and paying subcontract applications, preparing applications for payment for assigned work packages.
- Checking time-sheets and staff allocations for different work packages, agreeing final accounts with clients and subcontractors.
- Part of this role you will be managing and mentoring of junior members of the commercial team, supporting their growth and knowledge.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or similar level within with a civil engineering or utilities contractor
- Full driving licence & flexible with travel.
- Excellent knowledge of Standard Forms of Contract (NEC) and Standard Methods of Measurement
- Strong communication within presentations and ability to negotiate and persuade others
- Experience within a construction/engineering/similar and commercial background
