I have an opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor at their project office in Crewe. They are looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a background in civil engineering to join their project based team undertaking environmental works, ground investigations and enabling works on HS2.

As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, some of your main duties will include:

• Managing the procurement of sub-contractors
• Contract administration & negotiation
• Sub-contract management
• Cost reporting
• Assist with the preparation of CVR's
• Support the CM & CD with their involvement with the project
• Act as a mentor to the junior surveyors on the team and help them with the development of their own careers

The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will need to have:

• Experience working for a UK based main contractor on large civil engineering projects
• Excellent communication skills
• Live within a reasonable commute of Crewe
• A clean driving licence
• NEC contract knowledge
