An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor at their offices in Burntwood, Staffordshire. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be joining a busy commercial team working with a growing number of clients across the water, power and gas sectors across the Midlands.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be working on a high volume of projects, often with relatively low values and short programmes. The projects are across the Midlands region and for clients including commercial and residential developers. Some of the Senior Quantity Surveyors key duties will include:
- Formulate and negotiate contracts and subcontracts
- Foster and oversee relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Prepare and presenting monthly project cost-value reconciliations
- Identify and take the lead in managing commercial opportunities & risks
- Ensure compliance with year-end requirements and conduct necessary commercial audits.
- Cultivate a high-performing team
- Mentor and supervise the progress of junior team members
- Collaborate with the CM to review all contractual obligations, commercial risks and the general day to day running of the team
