An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering a major infrastructure project across Yorkshire. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be joining an award winning business that rewards it's employees on their performance, pushes for personal development and offers exposure to exciting projects across the water, energy and transportation sectors.
The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be based in Leeds and play a crucial role in managing the commercial and financial delivery of a complex project valued at more than £2bn. Some of the Senior Quantity Surveyors key duties will include:
- Work closely with the commercial management team to oversee the projects overall costs and the development of the team
- Manage your own workload, taking subcontractor accounts from procurement through to final accounts
- Contract negotiation
- Contract administration
- Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
- Agreeing final accounts for subcontractors
- Acting as a mentor to junior surveyors on the team
- Providing the operations team with commercial advice and guidance
