Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Andover, Hampshire
Salary: £65,000 to £75,000 + package
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established, well regarded main contractor on a large project in Andover. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be joining a fast-moving, highly experienced team and taking responsibility for the day to day commercial management of a large section of works on the project.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, your duties will include:
- Working closely with the rest of the commercial team (including two direct reports), subcontractors, suppliers and the client
- Maintaining tight control on variations, pricing them and accurately recording their effect on final accounts
- Take a lead role int he calculation and preparation of company valuations and final accounts
- Present monthly project cost analysis
- Manage all subcontract orders, applications and assist with subcontractor enquiries.
The successful Senior Quantity Surveyor will need to have previously worked on large new build or refurbishment projects for a main contractor. You'll need strong commercial awareness, good contract knowledge and excellent communication skills. You'll also need to live within a reasonable commute of the site in Andover and be happy to be on site 5 days a week.
