Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Stevenage Area (with travel to London)
Salary: £55,000 to £68,000 + car & package
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor with a growing pipeline of projects across North London, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will join a growing team that provides a wide range of services including ground engineering, building, design and engineering, electrical and mechanical services and utility connections. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in the business, working on large, exciting projects across the transportation, water and energy sectors.
Some of the Senior Quantity Surveyors responsibilities will include:
- Management and preparation of internal commercial reports as required
- Management of the Cost Reports to the clients team with all relevant contractual documentation
- Identify and manage key risks and opportunities across a small portfolio of projects
- Ensure all subcontract & material procurement schedules are prepared and updated
- Draft subcontract orders including all PSA's
- Provide support to junior members of the commercial team
- Support the Managing QS and Commercial Manager where possible
Senior Quantity Surveyors considering these opportunities must have experience in the following areas:
- A solid understanding of the NEC suite of contracts
- Previous experience working on civil engineering, infrastructure, utilities or mechanical and electrical projects
- Excellent communication skills
- Driven, ambitious and keen to develop
