Senior Quantity Surveyor - HS2 Rail Project - London
Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 + Travel Allowance + Package
Location: Old Oak Common (near Acton)
We are recruiting for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor delivering the Mechanical & Electrical packages on HS2's flagship Old Oak Common Station.

The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in the commercial management of complex packages of work. Responsibilities include:
- Administering NEC3/4 Option C contracts
- Managing entitlement and ensuring compliance with subcontract terms
- Reviewing and valuing contractor applications for payment
- Drafting and issuing contractual notices including EWNs and Compensation Events
- Providing commercial and risk advice to project and delivery teams
- Producing and monitoring cost reports, forecasts and change management
- Negotiating and procuring subcontract packages to ensure value for money
- Building strong, collaborative relationships with client and supply chain stakeholders
Candidate Requirements
- Strong track record as a Senior QS within UK rail, infrastructure, or large-scale projects
- NEC3/NEC4 contract experience (essential)
- Background in cost control, subcontract management and change control
- Excellent commercial reporting and financial monitoring skills
- Degree qualified and/or RICS accredited (or working towards) desirable
- MEP experience and main contractor/joint venture background beneficial
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)
