A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main contractor on a major infrastructure project in Kent. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be site based and initially working on site enabling works and ground investigations across the high profile project.

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will be joining a growing team and taking responsibility for the procurement and sub-contract management of packages valued up to £10m. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with the development of junior members on the team
• Undertaking client and stakeholder management
• Prepare, submit and negotiate claims where required
• Review complex contract programmes including time/location
• Monitor all subcontract activities, measuring and responding where necessary
• Prepare accurate internal reports for commercial progress
• Support the Commercial Manager with the overall delivery of the project

Senior Quantity Surveyors considering this opportunity will need to have:

• Previous experience working on a major civil engineering or infrastructure project
• Good NEC knowledge
• Strong communication skills
• Live within a reasonable commute of the site near to Dartford
