Senior Quantity Surveyor
Locations: Central or West London
Salary: £55,000 - £72,000 + car / travel allowance + comprehensive package
Site Attendance: Minimum 3 days per week on site
I am working on behalf of a leading UK main contractor delivering a flagship infrastructure programme in London. Due to a planned increase in workload and progression within the team, they are now looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor with strong NEC and major civils experience.

The Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial responsibility for a number of civil engineering packages, working closely with Package Managers, Project Managers and the wider commercial leadership team. The role is hands-on and delivery-focused.
Key responsibilities include:
- Commercial management of multiple civils packages from procurement through to final account
- Administration and management of NEC contracts (primarily NEC3/NEC4)
- Cost control, forecasting, CVRs, and reporting in line with project and business requirements
- Managing subcontractor procurement, payments, change control and final accounts
- Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff where required
- Working collaboratively with planning, engineering and delivery teams on site
About You
To be considered, candidates should demonstrate:
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects
- Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts (essential)
- Experience managing subcontract packages on large, complex schemes
- Background with a main contractor environment
- Confident stakeholder management and commercial acumen
- Willingness to be site-based a minimum of three days per week
