SEO Account Manager
We are looking for an SEO Account Manager who can join our SEO team and manage our new retail clients.
We want someone who can manage client expectations, is tactical about delivering pushback and confident in providing guidance to the client where needed. We're not looking for a message carrier, we need someone who understands the complexities and constraints of working with enterprise clients and can manage the delivery of workflows and projects accordingly. Someone who loves the prospect of driving organic traffic growth to vast websites and most importantly is adept at communicating both challenges and progress of such projects. About the role
Reporting to our Head of SEO, as SEO Account Manager you'll be the face of the team working closely with our technical SEO and data specialists and our clients. With your excellent people skills and ability to communicate with a range of people, you'll establish great rapport and relationships with our client contacts.
Responsible for project managing our SEO delivery, nurturing, and growing client relationships and supporting the onboarding of new clients. You will be well organised and employ good project management skills to ensure client work is delivered on time and at a high standard.
By building closer client relationship you'll identify areas of growth for their goals and targets where we can better assist with our delivery.
You're ambitious, rigorous, diligent and organised. You have a few years' experience in an SEO account management role with a track record managing client delivery. You have a good working knowledge of SEO, but most importantly you are experienced at project managing and communicating SEO strategy to clients, and relaying this to internal team and stakeholders.
You have experience and confidence in handling clients and their senior stakeholders. You are adept at balancing the need to nurture positive client relationships with the need to provide pushback and expectation management. You are excellent at providing project updates as you healthily obsessed with the details of strategy progress. Your commercial awareness guides how you handle client requests to ensure budgets are kept to.
- 3+ years of experience in SEO account management
- Strong project management and organisation skills, creating timelines, documentation and experience using tools such as Asana
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong commercial mindset
- Confident in presenting to a range of stakeholders from the CEO down
- Experience in using reporting and measurement tools to build reports
- Proven experience in producing proposals and contracts and conveying strategy
