An experienced Server Engineer is required to play a key role in the installation and configuring of Microsoft and Linux operating systems. Working under a senior engineer, you will be responsible for the delivery of you own task and technical output. Due to the nature of the work, you will be expected to be onsite full time and prepared to travel when required to client sites.
The Role:
So, what will you be doing as a Server Engineer?
- Proactively work with technical leads and manage their own tasks to ensure delivered solution follow the defined design process.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in information technology
- Build and enhance relationships with peers and infrastructure services
- Be responsible for undertaking project work across the team as required - participation in reference groups, training and research on new functionality etc.
What are we looking for in our next Server Engineer?
- Have excellent communication - verbal and written
- Experience of Linux build and configuration
- Practical experience in Microsoft server and client implementation, configuration and testing (ideally MCSA Qualified)
- Practical experience of Windows Server Hypervisor (virtualisation), design, implementation, configuration and testing
- Software scripting (Bash and Powershell)
