STB Defect & Triage Engineer /Test Engineer

Set Top Box testing & triage engineer. My client is looking to build and strengthen their engineering teams. Iam currently looking for a Senior Test Engineer for set-top-boxes' functional testing and defects investigation.

Your Skills:

• 2+ experience in functional testing of the set-top-boxes
• Experience in UI functional testing
• Ability to understand and summarize an issue and come up with next set of actions
• Experience in test reports creation
• Fluent English
• Good communication skills
• Customer facing experience
• Quick learner
• Pro-activeness is a must - you need to be able to find the information and communicate with peers
• Experience with Jira and Confluence

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Basic commands of Unix and Linux systems
• Basic idea about "support" terminologies
• Good knowledge of web services (RESTful web services preferred)
• Good knowledge of networking terminologies (for eg: should know about TCP dumps and tools like wireshark or similar)
• Good with huge log files analysis and tools being used for it (for eg: Good knowledge of ELK stack or similar technologies is preferred)
• Understanding of basic network interaction

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of professional software development or development operations experience
• Recent production experience
• Experience in directly interaction with onsite and local test management team

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Testing streaming of video content and backend components interaction
• Developing and execution of manual and automated test scripts
• Root-cause analysis of reported defects with evidence provisioning
• Extended logs' analysis
• End-to-end investigation of STB behaviour and features implementation
• Providing of reports to the team
• Communication with other teams
